Auglaize Village, September 5 - 7, 2025
The NWT held its final skirmish of the regional season at scenic Auglaize Village near Defiance, Ohio September 5-7, 2025.
The skirmishers were all a bit curious as a Defiance Country Sheriffs vehicle was always parked at the range but at a discreet distance. Eventually, one of the deputies let his curiosity get the best of him and he left his vehicle and wandered up to where the action was. Warmly greeted by the participants, Deputy Alex Jackson was invited to try his hand with N-SSA 160-year-old technology. Bob Anderson let Jackson try his Maynard carbine and Tom Lagoe gave him a few shots with his Sharps carbine. The deputy found out shooting Civil War period firearms isn’t as easy as it might look.
He’ll probably stick to his Glock and Taser.
